As a college student, making ends meet can often be a challenge. Between classes, campus club meetings, unpaid internships and late-night study groups, finding time for a job that pays the rent, let alone medical bills, is nearly impossible. Bleed Purple is here before and after diagnoses to help you and your loved one get the resources you need to overcome cancer.
Bleed Purple is currently working on building partnerships with cancer research and support organizations nationwide. We hope that in the near future we will be able to expand beyond financial resources and offer you a wide range of support options.
The Bleed Purple Foundation is collaborating with EmergingMed to offer a free and confidential service to help you locate a cancer clinical trial that matches your situation. Our service is designed to help you quickly search for clinical trial options that match your specific diagnosis and treatment history. We encourage you to identify your clinical trial options (and review them with your doctor) each time you have to make a treatment decision.
To speak to a Clinical Trial Specialist call us toll-free at 1.800.504.7606. We are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. ET (except holidays).
Whether you search online or by telephone, our staff is available to help you successfully connect with clinical trial staff for the trials to which you match. The service is free and your information is kept strictly confidential.

College students who have recently been diagnosed with any form of cancer and are currently or receiving treatment for the disease are eligible for tuition relief from Bleed Purple. Much like a scholarship, these grants are typically paid directly to the University to help defer the costs of attending school during after treatment for cancer.
Danny Lee Burkett, the son of Col. Daniel Burkett and Liz Burkett, was killed in a freak boating accident in Northern California, October 6, 2006. Although Danny played a significant role in the development of Bleed Purple, he also graduated with honors from the University of San Diego in June 2006 and had just begun working at Raytheon Corporation in San Diego when the accident occurred.
In appreciation for the efforts and knowledge Danny contributed to the Foundation, the Board of Directors has announced the establishment of the Danniel Burkett III Memorial Scholarship. Each year, Bleed Purple will award five scholarships of $1,000 each to members of Greek Organizations that exhibit academic excellence, high social standards, and selfless service in their communities.
100% of all the proceeds from the sales of all merchandise will go towards helping cancer victims and supporting cancer research.
