BLEED PURPLE TO EXPAND CANCER SUPPORT

Coeur D’Alene, ID—April 10, 2007— The Bleed Purple Foundation, providing financial assistance for college students who are battling cancer, is proud to announce that it is expanding its support. Beginning in April, 2007, Bleed Purple will partner with EmergingMed to offer a free and confidential service to help cancer patients locate a cancer clinical trail that matches their situation.

“This collaboration with EmergingMed is the next step in the future successes of Bleed Purple, and the Foundation is thankful for the opportunity to work with an organization such as EmergingMed that does so much for those with cancer,” said Scott Chesrown, President and CEO of the Bleed Purple Foundation and a current Senior at the University of San Diego.

The Bleed Purple Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2006 by members of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at the University of San Diego. It began as a local campaign to help a brother who was diagnosed with stage III-B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. But Bleed Purple has expanded into a national support organization, providing tuition and medical grants to any college student who has been diagnosed with cancer.

EmergingMed is a free and confidential cancer and clinical trial matching and referral service which was founded in 2000 by Courtney Hudson. EmergingMed's goal is to become the central repository of clinical research information in the United States and to provide a fast, simple way for people with serious illnesses to search for and gain access to clinical trial options.
