A letter from the President

Dear Friends,

The past several years have brought tremendous difficulties to charities throughout the world as the economy began a dramatic shift and families were just trying to get by. While Bleed Purple was financially in a position to weather the economic storm, what we didn't foresee was a dramatic increase in the number of applicants requesting financial assistance due to the economy.

Throughout 2009, Bleed Purple approved financial assistance for many individuals battling cancer with the hopes that a stabalization in our economy would bring back the necessary donations required to fulfill our mission. While we knew this would be a challenge, we felt people needed our help more than ever and regardless of what the future brought, it was better to give our money to those in need then to sit back and wait.

As of December 22, 2009, Bleed Purple Foundation has used the last remaining funds in our account to make one last donation to a person in need. Furthermore, all of our remaining assets will be distributed to selected charities that meet our mission and benefit the public. As the end of the year came into sight, we felt our mission to help individuals overcome by cancer would be better served by putting our efforts behind a larger organization with a larger voice in the advocacy of cancer treatment, research and assistance. Lance Armstrong's LIVESTRONG Foundation was a clear choice as a global leader in the fight against cancer as it remains an organization that prides itself on low administration costs to better serve their cause.

We understand there are several individuals and organizations in the process of fundraising and/or donating funds to Bleed Purple. We ask that you select an organization, such as LIVESTRONG at www.livestrong.org, to be the recipient of the funds.

Bleed Purple will leave an incredible legacy behind as an organization started by fraternity men to help a brohter in need. The organization granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to individuals and organizations across the country and we are confident our mission, to help students who facing cancer overcome the financial hardships associated with such a disease, has been accomplished. We thank you all for your support throughout the years as we grew from a small campus club at the University of San Diego to a national charity. Bleed Purple will remain in our hearts forever.

Sincerely,

Scott M. Chesrown
