Bleed Purple - A Greek Community Foundation

Because Bleed Purple has zero administrative expenses, it is one of very few organizations that can devote all of its funds to support those students who need it the most. Therefore, all employees of the Bleed Purple Foundation work for free without receiving compensation for their time.

PRESIDENT & CEO - Scott Chesrown

Bio:
Scott Chesrown was born and raised in Westminster, Colorado. After his graduation in 2003, Scott moved to San Diego where he graduated from the University of San Diego in 2007 with a degree in Spanish. Soon after his graduation, Scott moved to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho so that he may be close to his father and follow in his footsteps in the real estate development industry at Black Rock Development.

Looking towards the future, Scott plans on growing Bleed Purple Corp. to be a global development foundation so that individuals can support any cause they feel they need to associate themselves with.

Duties:
Scott currently chairs the Board of Directors of Bleed Purple, which will manage the business and affairs of Bleed Purple Corporation. As President, Mr. Chesrown’s duties are consistent with what is required pursuant to the Bylaws of Bleed Purple, including the supervision and control all business and affairs of Bleed Purple. Mr. Chesrown reviews all financial records on a daily basis and chairs the Selection Committee for all grant applications.

VICE PRESIDENT - Tim Miller

Bio:
Tim Miller was born and raised by his parents in Hill City, Kansas, a small town of 1,500 situated in Northwest Kansas. He has one younger sister, Elizabeth and one younger brother, Christopher. Tim is currently a junior at the University of San Diego majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in international business. As of yet, he has no specific plans for his future but hopes to take all promising opportunities that are presented.

Tim became involved in the Bleed Purple Foundation through Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and his involvement in foundation activities has grown ever since. He has seen first hand the troubling effects of cancer through his family and home community. He sees Bleed Purple as an opportunity to expand the support network that cancer victims need and is proud to be part of such an organization.

Duties:
Mr. Miller assists the President with all duties. In the absence of the President, Mr. Miller shall assume all responsibilities of the President. Mr. Miller ’s duties are consistent with the Bylaws of Bleed Purple and include the supervision of all fundraising events and campaigns and ensuring the growth of each program for years to come.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING - Meri McLaughlin

Bio:
Meri McLaughlin was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating in 2003, Meri moved to San Diego where she is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of San Diego. Meri has also served as Vice President of Finance and Service Chair for her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.

Duties:
Ms. McLaughlin’s duties include formulating marketing plans, contacting organizations wishing to hold fundraising events, maintaining contact with all contributors to Bleed Purple, distributing newsletters, and distributing appreciation letters to contributors. She is also charged with the responsibility of developing fundraising campaigns to help the foundation reach its yearly goal.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT- Jeffrey Jahnke

Bio: Jeff Jahnke was born in Arcadia, California. He currently attends the University of San Diego where he will graduate with a degree in Business Administration in May of 2008. Jeff played a large role in getting Bleed Purple exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and continues to devote the majority of his free time to the growth of Bleed Purple.

Duties:
Mr. Jahnke currently serves on the Board of Directors and as the Secretary for Bleed Purple. Mr. Jahnke’s duties as Secretary involve keeping minutes during all meetings involving the Board of Directors and Selections Committee. Mr. Jahnke provides proper notice of meetings, is the custodian of corporate records and other conducts other duties required by the Bylaws for requested by the Board of Directors and/or President. As Director of Development, it is Mr. Jahnke’s job to develop and implement new fundraising campaigns and formulate strategies to ensure constant growth of the foundation.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT - Ryan Lee

Bio: Ryan Lee was born in Clear Creek, California. He is currently pursuing a degree in History and Communication studies with an emphasis in media at the University of San Diego. He will graduate in 2008 and then will persue a Master's degree. Ryan was named the Assistant Director of Development for Bleed Purple after he expressed his interest in getting involved with such a unique organization.

Duties:
Mr. Lee's primary duties involve overseeing the management and growth of the Bleed Purple Alumni Association. Throughout the year, Ryan will mantain constant contact with all current members of the association and formulate strategies to ensure the Alumni Association continues to grow in the years to come.
